Versa-Drill Showcases Its Flagship V-140X Drilling Rig
Versa-Drill’s V-140X mounted drilling rig is engineered for water well and geothermal drilling as well as air rotary, cathodic protection, and exploration drilling tasks. The versatile rig supplies 40,000 pounds (178 kilonewtons) of pullback power and 22,100 lbs (98 kN) of pulldown to get the job done with ease.
Recent Display Upgrades
Built for light weight, like Versa-Drill’s V-125X, the V-140X has a 180-degree swing and an extendable jib arm. An incline sensor warns the operator audibly and visually on all display screens if the derrick begins to tilt during operation.
The drill’s touchscreen can present hour meters for the mud pump and tophead rotation in addition to the traditional PTO and optional compressor hours readings. The display can also show the total downhole string weight, a digital user’s manual, and important information from digital transducers located around the drill assembly.
