Ditch Witch Unveils JT20XP Directional Drill Package
Perry, Oklahoma,-based Ditch Witch recently launched a new horizontal directional drill (HDD) package that consists of the JT20XP drill and the XP44 mixing system.
Productivity On Demand
The new horizontal directional drill package features a combined 118 horsepower, for enough thrust and rotation to handle the most demanding applications. According to Seth Matthesen, Ditch Witch HDD category manager, the JT20XP was designed to be an ideal fit for HDD contractors who perform medium to large utility installations. “The JT20XP drill provides improved spindle torque and speed over its predecessor, while delivering 56% more mud flow than competitive units,” he says. “It’s matched by the XP44’s superior mixing capabilities to offer a more productive solution for larger jobs, while retaining a small, compact footprint.”
A Utility Contractor’s Best Friend
The new JT20XP package from Ditch Witch is compact enough to haul to any jobsite and fit in tight spaces. It features a diesel engine, making it convenient to refuel on sites already using multiple diesel machines. Under the hood, you’ll find a 74.5-horsepower Tier 4 Deutz diesel engine that doesn’t require DEF and is capable of operating at higher speeds compared to previous models, for significantly better underground cutting performance. Other features operators will appreciate include Ditch Witch’s exclusive no-grease zerks, adjustable seats, and a color LCD display that gives operators access to full engine diagnostics and electronic strike indicators. The XP44 mixing system features a 44-horsepower Tier 4 Yanmar diesel engine that runs quiet and won’t hold you back.
