Across Canada and Latin America, buyers in agriculture and mining—as well as Canada’s energy sector and Latin America’s construction and transportation industries—regularly seek equipment, machinery, trucks, and trailers. The MarketBook Canada and MarketBook Latin America platforms serve all of these industries, connecting sellers and buyers through proven regional print publications and localized websites.

    Targeted Coverage, International Exposure

Launched in 2010 as Sandhills Global’s first international brand, MarketBook Canada serves buyers and sellers across Canada’s provinces and territories. Sellers can showcase their assets in the weekly Eastern Canada and Western Canada editions of MarketBook magazine, which provide targeted regional distribution across the continent. All print listings appear online as well, on MarketBook.ca and the French-language MarketBook.qc.ca in Quebec.

MarketBook Latin America, launched in 2012, serves buyers across Mexico, Central America, and South America. The biweekly Latin America edition of MarketBook magazine is a Spanish-language publication serving Mexico, Central America, and South America. Ads appear as listings on MarketBook.mx and other country-specific Latin American MarketBook sites, including the Portuguese-language MarketBook.com.br for Brazil. Each site prioritizes local listings, while buyers worldwide can browse equipment categories and use search tools and filters in their preferred language and currency.

    World-Class Ad Options

MarketBook offers sellers numerous ad options, including single-asset photo listings, multi-page spreads, and quarter-, half-, and full-page display ads. Each asset advertised in print receives a featured listing online. Priority page ads, which include the centerfold, front and back covers, and inside covers and facing pages, offer the most prominent placement in print and rank higher in website search results.

Sellers can extend their reach with ads in multiple MarketBook editions and publications for Sandhills’ industry-specific platforms such as Machinery Trader, TractorHouse, and Truck Paper. Digital ad options include website banners, email updates, and email blasts. Regular advertisers can list their entire for-sale inventory online as general listings at no extra cost.

Items Canadian sellers place for sale on AuctionTime receive invaluable cross-promotion via high-ranking listings on AuctionTime.com, MarketBook.ca, and appropriate Sandhills platforms, such as MachineryTrader.com.

    Auction & Wholesale Sales Opportunities

AuctionTime and Equipmentfacts offer Canadian and Latin American sellers additional ways to sell equipment through auctions. AuctionTime holds online-only sales every Wednesday, while Equipmentfacts enables online buyers to place real-time bids in live events. Assets headed to auction receive additional exposure through high-ranking listings on MarketBook.ca and Latin America MarketBook websites. Sandhills also delivers a special edition of AuctionTime magazine with MarketBook issues.

Pre-AuctionTime adds retail and wholesale opportunities before an asset goes to auction. Sellers can simultaneously offer an item with a retail price on appropriate Sandhills trade sites and a wholesale price through Fast Track Iron, Sandhills’ exclusive dealer network. If the asset doesn’t sell, it automatically proceeds to its scheduled AuctionTime sale. Pre-AT is free to use, and retail buyers won’t know that the machine is also available at wholesale or is scheduled for auction.

“We continue to see a high-percentage success rate for equipment on Pre-AuctionTime listed at a wholesale or auction level,” says Chuck Lewis, Sandhills Sales Manager. “Dealers love this option, as it gives them more options to control the sale before taking it to an auction.”

Photo listings in the Eastern and Western editions of MarketBook magazine and five Machinery Trader editions, plus corresponding featured listings on AuctionTime.com, MarketBook.ca, and MachineryTrader.com, expanded the asset’s exposure. The skid steer sold in 38 days for the seller’s $40,000 CAD wholesale price.
