Caterpillar Oil & Gas is showcasing its latest advancements in products, sustainability, and technology at the 2022 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) May 2-5, in Houston, Texas. The 1,500-ft2 exhibit will showcase product displays and previews of what the future holds for the industry from Caterpillar, SPM Oil & Gas, and Solar Turbines.
Located at the NRG center, the four-day conference welcomes energy professionals from around the world to engage in scientific and technical presentations and demonstrations.
“We look forward to discussing a wide range of advanced and reliable products to meet the application demands of the industry and are developing service solutions for our customers based on their needs to enhance their ownership experience. With products such as the Cat Energy Storage System (ESS), we’re providing even more ways for customers to optimize their operation with gas-powered engines to boost efficiency by using energy storage and automation, ultimately lowering fuel consumption and emissions,” comments Diana Hopkins, Caterpillar Oil & Gas general manager.
Last year, Caterpillar expanded its brand portfolio by acquiring SPM Oil & Gas, a company specializing in superior oilfield products and services. Together with Caterpillar, SPM Oil & Gas continues to leverage its engineering ingenuity to provide customers with new solutions to today’s industry challenges. “We offer the broadest range of pump technologies in the industry, which enables us to meet any job requirement,” explained John Shanahan, president, SPM Oil & Gas. “We’re excited to showcase our new Simplified Frac Iron System enhancements at OTC 2022, which make the frac process significantly more streamlined, safer and more productive.”

The OTC exhibit will be shared with Solar Turbines, where representatives from the company will be present to discuss the latest products and solutions.
“At Solar, we continue to innovate and bring sustainable solutions to the industry. Two great examples are the SMT60 and SMT130 which operate on a wide variety of fuels including field gas which would otherwise be flared. We continue to invest in solutions that support our customers’ carbon reduction goals, including a focus on operational efficiency, methane abatement, fuel flexibility, and carbon capture, use, and storage.” says Lyndon Harlin, Oil & Gas Marketing Manager at Solar Turbines.
Throughout the week, conference attendees can speak with representatives at booth #533 to discover new possibilities that power electrification, provide hybrid flexibility, lower costs, and reduce the carbon footprint.
